Hanukkah reveal
Eight nights, eight little reveals
Hanukkah hands you what no other holiday does: eight consecutive chances to build suspense. Hide tonight’s gift hint behind a tiny pixel puzzle, send one link, and let them solve their way to it — one square at a time.
How the gift-night reveal works
Write the hint — “tonight’s gift rhymes with rocks” — or the full reveal, and pick a small picture puzzle to hide it behind. You get one private link for WhatsApp or any chat.
They solve the grid while the candles burn down; every correct square uncovers more of the picture, and the last one delivers your words. Stuck? One tap finishes it — no gift night ends in frustration.
The eight-nights game
Make one card per night. Some nights the puzzle names the gift; some nights it names where the gift hides; night eight names the big one. In a family group chat this becomes a nightly ritual — the kids start asking for the link before the candles are lit.
It also works between adults: eight nights of one-line reasons you love someone costs nothing and beats seven pairs of socks.
Far from home this year
Studying abroad, on duty, or just in another city — a Hanukkah card that takes a minute to solve is closer to being there than a text message. The whole card works in Hebrew, right to left, from the puzzle to your message; dates this year are December 4–12, 2026.
Does it work in Hebrew?
Fully — the interface, the puzzle, and your message all render in Hebrew, right to left. English and Russian too.
Is it free?
Yes — creating and sending reveals is free, all eight nights of it, with no account and no app.
Can kids solve it?
Yes, the quick puzzle is small and forgiving — and one tap auto-finishes it if a night runs long.
