Solve2See lets you hide a short message behind a tiny puzzle and share it as a link. This page explains what the service stores, for how long, and what your choices are — in plain words.
Who runs this service
Solve2See is an independent one-person service. For any question about your data — including removing a reveal — write to hello@solve2see.com.
What we store
A reveal stores only what its creator types: the occasion, a headline, an optional message, and the names the creator chooses to enter. There are no user accounts: we do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or passwords, and we never learn who solves a puzzle.
Reactions and content reports are anonymous — we store what was tapped or reported, never who did it.
Cookies
The service sets a few first-party cookies only: an anonymous session cookie so your browser can manage its own drafts and reveals (kept up to one year and stored on our side only as a cryptographic hash), your language choice, and an appearance-variant cookie. There are no advertising, tracking, or third-party cookies.
Analytics
We measure the product with our own strictly typed events (for example: “a puzzle was completed on a mobile device”). Events cannot contain free text, names, message content, or links, and they are stored in the service’s own private database. There is no third-party analytics and no cross-site tracking.
Photos
Where photo attachments are available, an uploaded photo is re-encoded on our side, camera metadata including GPS location is removed, and the file is kept in private storage and shown only through short-lived signed links.
How long things are kept
A published reveal stays until its creator deletes it — there is no automatic expiry. When a reveal is deleted, its media files are purged within 7 days. Closed content reports are removed after 90 days, publish confirmations after 30 days, server logs after 31 days, and database backups after 7 days.
Where it is hosted
The service runs on Microsoft Azure in the West Europe region.
Who can see a reveal
Anyone who has the link can open the reveal — that is the point of the product. Reveal links are excluded from search engines, but a link can always be forwarded. Solve2See is a playful surprise, not secure storage: don’t put passwords, keys, or confidential information into a reveal.
Your choices
Every reveal comes with a management link that can disable or delete it at any moment. The management link is shown once and cannot be recovered — we store only its hash. If you cannot use the management link, write to the address above and we will help.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new date.
